If you feel alone and isolated
You’ve lost connection with fire.
Buy a matchbox, strike one
And hold it until it almost burns.
Buy a candle, light it and soak
In its glow and dancing.
If you can, dance around it.
Fire’s audience is always a circle.
It’s the nucleus of community.
The bigger the fire the better;
Everyone is welcome in its glow
And none are worse than another.
All are blessed by the firelight and
Connected to the center and source.
